Chrome-Moly Alloy Steel, also known as CrMo, is an alloy steel designed for use in high-temperature and high-pressure applications. Because of its tensile strength, corrosion resistance, and high-temperature strength, chrome-moly is utilized in the petrochemical and power generation industries.
Chrome-moly, cro-moly, CrMo, CRMO, and CR-MOLY are some common abbreviations for chrome moly pipe. High temperatures and pressures don’t cause these pipes to burst. Chrome moly pipes are highly favoured over carbon pipes because they are resistant to hydrogen cracking and sulphide stress corrosion cracking.
